- 1806: https://www.familysearch.org/library/books/records/item/762539-notices-of-marriages-and-deaths-about-4-000-in-number-published-in-newspapers-printed-at-poughkeepsie-new-york-1778-1825-volume-4
- 6 March 1807: Belden Road Cemetery record shows unnamed 3 month old "son of Benjamin"
- Benjamin F. Knickerbocker, B1786, lived in Gorham, Ontario, NY, in 1808. Lawrence sells property to Benjamin, "my son", for 1 cent. This helps confirm that Ben was born before about 1787. (Minors typically could not have title to a property.)
- 1820: Land records in Ontario Co: Benjamin and wife Jane sell property. (Book 35, p 436)
- He lived in Gorham, Ontario, NY, in 1820. 3 sons and 2 daughters. Oldest male is "26-44" but probably at least age 32 because 2 sons are 10-14.3

- 1823 in Eden, Erie, NY: Silas Wilcox, who was involved in the Erie Co deeds, was Jane's brother. Sometime around 1824 he moved to Eden, Erie County, NY. He lived there for the rest of his life.
- January 1823 in ..., Erie, NY: Strange land records: In 1823, Benj Knick of Hopewell sold property to James Moor (Erie, L7 p107). Within a few days, James Moor flipped the property to Silas Wilcox of Perinton. (Erie, L7, p108).
- 1835: Findagrave # 149857245 claims that this Benjamin (from Ont Co) died in 1835 and is buried in Pittsford, Monroe Co, NY. Very doubtful. I have never seen Ben in any historic listing from that cemetery.
- 1835: Ben had a nephew named Lara Knickerbocker (1802-1884). Lara was the son of David Knickerbocker.
- He lived in Italy, Yates, NY, in October 1835. F.Search has partial results from 1835 NY census. Benjamin Knickerbocker was next door to Larrey Knickerbocker. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSQ7-V9CN-H?i=157&cat=213423. Household: 1 adult male, 1 newborn male, 3 females.

Mary Knickerbocker
F, #7661, b. about 1785
Parents
Biography
- Mary Knickerbocker was born about 1785 in Amenia, Dutchess, NY.
- 1808 in Ontario, Wayne, NY: Multiple land records for Mary. The first clearly says "daughter" of Lawrence. None of the deeds mention Lawr's wife. (In fact, none of Lawr's deeds name a wife. This suggest wife was already dead; see NY dower laws.)
- 1809 in Gorham, Ontario, NY: Lawrence sells land to "daughter" Mary for 1 cent.
- 1814 in Ontario, Wayne, NY: Mary sold property to Benjamin. (Book 20, page 429.) Deed is generic; it does not give any indication of their relationship. Best guess: This is Benjamin buying out his sister, after their father died.

- He lived in Amenia, Dutchess, NY, in 1790.7
- He lived in Cherry Valley, Otsego, NY, in 1800. Probably the right man. Kids ages match perfectly. Also of note: Gabriel Dutcher was apparently in Cherry Valley in 1800. (Gabriel was the uncle of Harmanus Jr, via his marriage to aunt Elizabeth Knickerbocker.)8,10
- 1809 in Gorham, Ontario, NY: Harmon Knickerbocker buys 100 acres from Lawrence Knickerbocker for $500. The deed does not say how the two men are related. (My guess: they were brothers.)
