• 1730: Clues: Man named Petrus Knickerbacker was "cartman" in NYC. Petrus & Neelte had a son Harman. (See church records). And, baptisms of Abraham's kids in NYC were witnessed by "Harmanus Knickerbacker." So, Abraham = son of Petrus.
• 1730 : This family has never been studied in detail. Church records provide clues, but the fate of his children and descendants involves some guesswork. An observation: Most Knickerbockers were farmers. There were very few Knickerbockers in NYC.

• 1830: So far, John is the only Knickerbocker who has been identified in the 1830 census for NYC.
• John (Petrus line) Knickerbocker, B1768, lived in New York, New York, NY, in 1830. Males U5: 1; 5-9: 2; 50-59: 1 Females 20-29: 1. Age span suggests this was John, his 2nd wife, and their children.¹
• He lived in New York, New York, NY, in 1835. John and "Mrs Knickerbocker" (presumably John's wife, but could also be the widow of John's brother Abraham?) mentioned a couple of times in the attached church records, between 1829 and 1835. No hint about their fate.²
• 1836: John seems to disappear after 1830. It is possible that Rebecca in Philly in 1840 was his widow. (The ages of the boys seems to fit. Also: Bolivar born in NYC.) I have connected them, for now. Looking for proof.
