He died on 4 October 1893 in NY He worked for the Fitchburg Railroad. He fell from a train and was killed. Several years later his brother was also killed in a rail accident. (Both deaths discussed in the Mechanicsville Mercury, 16 Jan 1904.)^3,4,4

I have added “Scoke Line” to the names of male Knickerbockers who descend from Johannes 1st of Schaghticoke. There aren't many. They are outnumbered 20 to 1 by descendants of Lawrence of Dutchess Co. (He was the younger brother of Johannes 1st.)
