John Knickerbocker left CT in 1804. He bought a 50 acre farm in Hamilton, Chenango Co. Then, in 1806, the area became part of the newly formed Madison Co. John's farm was in the SE corner of Lot 53. He was near what is now called Brown Road, about 1 mile west of Leland Pond.
