Many trees propagate the mistake shown here, and claim that Hugh Knickerbocker (1761-1845) married Rachel Stickle. Wrong. His wife was Rachel Schram, as documented, for example, in the biography of her son William. (A much younger woman named Rebecca Stickle married a different Hugh Knickerbocker in 1811.)
